Shiobara Hot Spring Peony Festival | kokosil Nasushiobara

There is a peony (botan) garden taken care of by the members of "Peony Grower Association" with the greatest care on the premise of Myounji, an ancient temple of the Rinzai school of Buddhism with a history of over 800 years.

There are more than 3,000 multicolor peony trees such as red, pink, purple, white and yellow.

You will never get tired of visiting here to see the large brilliant flowers which bloom one after another during the season. Myounji will be filled with various kinds of flowers such as Japanese wisteria (fuji) and azalea (tsutsuji) in this season.

Plant markets, tea ceremonies, etc. are scheduled!
