Overview

もみじ谷大吊橋3.JPG

Majestic Shiobara Valley surrounding a suspension bridge welcomes visitors with seasonal beautiful sceneries. Momijidani Otsuribashi (Suspension Bridge) is 320 m, the longest pedestrian suspension bridge without stiffening girder in mainland Japan.

Ordinary bridges have stiffening girder to bear the weight on the bridges. The strength of this bridge is increased by stretching wire ropes sideways instead of stiffening girder.
