Overview
A row of maple trees on the approach to the tomb of Prince Iwao Ōyama, Field Marshal of Imperial Japanese Army makes beautiful views in the seasons of fresh greenery and autumn foliage. This area used to be his farm. When he passed away in 1916, his tomb and its approach were built. The approach was designed by Naozaburo Yamamoto, an engineer of Ministry of the Imperial Household. There used to be the trees of maple and cherry one after the other, but all the cherry trees were logged and no longer there.
